Reservations & Cancellations
We are a popular seasonal campground and have a limited number of sites available to those just passing through. Daggett Lake Campsites requires a camper, 21 years of age or older, registered to and responsible for each site. Check in time is between 2pm and 6pm. There is a $50 fee for any check-in after 6 pm. Please plan accordingly. We are a family campground and look forward to spending dinner time with our family.
1. Reservations
Reservations can be made by phone or in person. A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. By mail, we accept personal checks, travelers checks, and money orders. We do not accept personal checks while you are staying at the campground nor do we accept credit card purchases under $20 when you are at the campground. We do not guarantee site numbers.
2. Deposits
Effective August 5, 2016, we require a 50% deposit for all reservations, with no refunds issued in the event of a cancellation.. All reservations of 2-3 nights or reservations made within a 2 week window require payment in full. Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day) require payment in full at the time of the reservation. We do not offer refunds for cancellations over holidays.
Cancellations during non-holidays operate as follows. There is a $35 processing fee for the cancellation no matter how early or late you cancel the reservation. If you are within a 3 week window of your reservation, you will not receive any money back. If you are outside your 3-week reservation time, then you will receive all your money back, except the $35 cancellation fee. If you have a question, please contact the office.
3. Sites, Cabins, Cottages
A maximum of 4 people per site/cottage/cabin or 1 family consisting of 2 adults and a maximum of 4 children under 18. There are no tents allowed at camper cabins or cottages, but a screen house or pop up shelter should fit. Sites generally can accommodate 1 tent and 1 screen house
Camping is an outdoor experience. As such, we do not give refunds due to the discomfort of nature, or for early departures.
NO fee for pets. No more than 2 pets per site/cottage/cabin.
4. Day Visitors
Are allowed for an additional fee and must park by the office and depart by 8pm. Campers are responsible for their guests and should inform their guests of campground rules. Adults are $6/day and children are $4.
All guests/visitors assume all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoor environment including specifically (but not limited to), the danger of being injured by insects or other animals, of being injured while participating in recreational activities, such as hiking, swimming or boating at DLC and/or being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees that Daggett Lake Campsites and its owners, agents and employees are not liable for injuries or property damage resulting from such risks and danger.

Campground Procedures and Regulations

All campers and guests are required to register at the office, pay a fee if applicable, and obtain a car tag prior to entering the campground. Vehicle tags must be displayed at all times during your stay. Visitors are given a 30 minute grace period in which a refund will be given. Please let the office know that you are expecting visitors. Daily visitors should depart by 8 pm. Quiet time is from 10:30 pm to 8 am.
2. Check in/Check Out
Check in time is between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. and check out time is 12:00 noon unless prior arrangements have been made with management. We will do our best to accommodate you. We do charge an additional fee ($20) for late arrivals as we are a family campground and like to enjoy dinner with our family. Please plan accordingly.
3. Extending Your Stay
If you want to extend your stay please re-register by 9:00 a.m. of the day you wish to stay. Please keep in mind that the sooner you let us know the better the chance you will be able to stay on your current campsite.
4. Speed Limit
The speed limit is 5 MPH. Please do not park on roadways or vacant sites. Only 1 car is allowed at campsites.
5. Pets
We welcome your well-behaved pets. 2 pets per site/cottage/cabin. Please keep them on a 6 foot leash when walking (by a person that can control the animal) and pick up after them for everyone’s benefit. Pets cannot be left alone on sites, in campers, or cottages/cabins. There is a seasonal camper that offers pet sitting services. Please inquire at the office. Pets cannot swim in the swim area, but pets can swim at the pet beach. Dogs leashed/tied on a campsite must not be closer than 6 feet from the edge of the road.
6. Wireless Internet
We offer FREE WiFi outside the office area as an additional service for you. We are in “the woods” so please do not allow children to download large files, play games, or watch movies as this slows the internet down and adversely affects our office capabilities. You may access the internet outside the office. There are 2 Adirondack chairs and a picnic table to sit at while "surfing" the internet.
7. Camping Units
Each accommodating site may have up to 1 camping unit, 1 tent and 1 screen room (or 2 small tents). Tents should not be placed on grassy areas if at all possible. There is a limit of 4 adults per site or 1 family consisting of 2 adults and 4 children under age 18.
8. Children
Small children should be accompanied to the playground , bathroom, and swimming area and never be left unsupervised.
9. No RV or Car Washing
Washing RV’s or vehicles is prohibited.
10. Generators
Generators are prohibited from use in the campground.
11. Lake
Please follow the posted swim rules at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A minimum of 2 adults 18 years of age must be present whenever the swimming facility is in use, with 1 being on deck. Only use the facility during the posted hours. Your consideration at the swim area is appreciated by the guests and management. Please notify the office or management in case of an emergency and call 911. Be safe and have fun!
12. Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are allowed at your site. Please drink responsibly and note that the NY State drinking age is 21 and we expect everyone to obey.
13. Garbage and Recyclables
A garbage dumpster and recycling bins are located near the entrance to the park. Please dispose of only household trash in the dumpster.
14. Campfires
Campfires are permitted but should never be left unattended. The size of the flame must be under 2 feet and under control at all times. Campfires should not be burning after 11pm. The safe and proper use of campfires will ensure everyone’s enjoyment .
15. The following is Not Permitted at any time
The following is not permitted at any time – firearms and explosives, littering, loud music, smoking in the bathrooms, cutting of trees ($ 50.00 fine per foot), taking of bass ($50 fine) fires out of control, damaging property or disruptive conduct. Anyone found in violation could be charged, fined or asked to leave without a refund.
16. New York State Law
New York State Law - requires that every full hook up site must have a sewer collar. Sewer and wash water can not be drained on the ground.
17. All boats (DLC only allows NON-MOTORIZED boats), including inflatables, must be registered. EVERY person under 18 years old must wear life jackets while in a boat. Boats are subject to “rejection” by DLC staff depending on condition of boat or what waters the boat has been on.
18. All riders of bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc. MUST wear a helmet while on DLC property. Electric and/or battery operated ride on "toys" are NOT ALLOWED on DLC property.
19. Tent Stakes-We allow only PLASTIC tent stakes. Our water and power lines may not be very deep on some sites and metal stakes have and can puncture our water and power lines.
